Update: Once the grounds of the now defunct Olympia Brewing Company, to everyone's delight Tumwater Falls Park remains open to public visitation courtesy of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation. The park is a part of the Tumwater Historic District, which is also dedicated to preserving the built environment adjacent to three waterfalls along the Deschutes River, whose name is French for "River of the Falls". You will find many interpretive signs throughout the District. Depart I-5 at Exit 103; labelled 2nd Avenue for southbounders and Deschutes Way for those travelling north. Drive to "C" Steet and turn east toward the river to this site's parking area.
